The Low Down
Come join a class by yourself, with your friends, or with your family! Weekend Group Surf Classes are available to surfers ages 15 and up. They are offered from May through September on Saturdays and Sundays at 12pm in our Long Beach and Rockaway Beach locations. Our weekend group surf classes consist of a a 15-minute land lesson, followed by 75 minutes in the ocean with our instructors. Take the bus from points in Brooklyn to our Rockaway location – Ovrride.com – bus stop Breakwaters Surf Company.

- The cost is $65 per-student, per-session
- Open to ages 15 and up
- Our weekend group classes are 1 hour 30 minutes long
- Includes 10-15 min land instruction and an hour in the ocean
- Ratio to surfer and instructor will never be more than 3:1
- Surfboard and rash guard included
- Wetsuit included when needed
- Beach pass not included (applies to Long Beach only $15.00 beach fee for 13 years and older)

Here are some reminders before your scheduled lesson:
Please arrive at the Skudin Surf location beach fifteen minutes before your lesson. Each of our locations have a Skudin Surf tent canopy to check in. This will guarantee the time needed to check in, get set up with your equipment and instructors, If you arrive late you will miss part of your class.
Make sure you come prepared for the beach; a bathing suit is a must! A towel, sunscreen, and a beverage and snack are recommended. The surfboard and rash guard will be provided for the duration of the lesson.
A $25 deposit is required for all lessons per person as you register through our online system. Please bring the remaining balance at your scheduled lesson time.
In the event you decide to cancel the $25 deposit per person per lesson will become non-refundable.
We will contact you via email ONLY if we have to cancel lessons due to unsafe conditions in the ocean or heavy thunderstorms and tropical storm conditions. You can also check for alerts through our social media or website.
Anyone taking a class under the age of 18 arrive without a parent or guardian must fill out a waiver prior to the lesson and bring it to the lesson.
