Long Beach, NY – Letting the world know that coming from Long Island doesn’t mean you can’t be a one of the best Big Wave Surfers in the world, Will Skudin, 31 of Long Beach, earned a spot in the World Surfing League’s Big Wave World Tour event finishing in fifth place overall.  Will is the first surfer ever from the Northeast to break into the top five in the world.  The event in Puerto Escondido, Mexico was the inaugural Big Wave World Tour event.  Will earned an invitation because of a Performance of the Year nominee in 2015.  Surfline.com stated that:

“Will Skudin was the revelation of the event, and is on his way to becoming one of the most respected big-wave surfers on Earth – if he isn’t already.”
