Surf Lessons – Long Beach

Fall Surf Lessons:

GROUP SURF Lessons: Skudin Surf’s surf lessons are crafted for everyone, from wide-eyed beginners intermediate to seasoned surfers looking to tighten up their cutbacks. Our certified instructors, each with years of experience and a contagious passion for surfing, offer personalized coaching at some of the East Coast’s best beaches.

90 minute lesson (including a ~15 minute land lesson). Bring friends or come by yourself! Public group Lessons start with check-in and introduction, land lesson, followed by an ocean instruction lesson.  Bring your own group of friends, family, or coworkers!  EACH PERSON REGISTERS THEMSELVES. All lessons are taught by professionally certified instructors. The student-instructor ratio is 3:1 (this may increase or decrease depending on the conditions). Registration for lessons closes at 4:00 pm the day before. Group lessons are not suggested for young kids who need more individualized instruction. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your lesson. This will ensure the time needed to check-in, get set up with your equipment and instructors, and start your lesson on time. If you arrive late you will miss part of your lesson. The is no refund for missed or canceled lessons.

To Check-in, enter the beach at the Riverside Blvd boardwalk entrance and check in for your lesson at the Skudin Surf tents on the beach. You will need to purchase a beach pass for beach access, beach passes are $15 cash and are sold daily at the blue ticket booths from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. Use the link to purchase a beach pass

We will contact you via email and/or text (if opted in for text notifications) ONLY if we have to cancel lessons due to unsafe conditions in the ocean or heavy thunderstorms and tropical storm conditions. You can also check for alerts through our social media or website.
