Surf Lessons – Long Beach

Surf Lesson Options:

PRIVATE SURF LESSONS: one on one with an instructor. Lessons start with a check-in and introduction followed by a 5-15 min land lesson with an hour-long ocean instruction. All lessons are taught by professionally certified instructors. Offered from May 24th – August 16th.

SEMI – PRIVATE SURF LESSONS: your own private group with an instructor(s)  3:1 Ratio student to instructor. Lessons start with a check-in and introduction followed by a 5-15 min land lesson with an hour-long ocean instruction. All lessons are taught by professionally certified instructors. Offer from May 24th – August 16th.

GROUP SURF LESSONS –  Bring your own group or come by yourself! – Lessons start with check-in and introduction, land lesson, followed by an ocean instruction lesson.  Bring your own group of friends, family, or coworkers  EACH PERSON REGISTERS THEMSELVES.  All lessons are taught by professionally certified instructors. the student-instructor ratio is 3:1 Registration for the morning lessons closes at 5:00 pm the day before.  Group lessons are available starting in May 1st – May 19th – and start  up again on August  17th until the end of the season.  Lessons for all ages and ability,  the group is divide by age & ability. Registration for lessons closes at 4:00 pm the day before the lesson,

Please arrive fifteen minutes before your lesson. This will ensure the time needed to check-in, get set up with your equipment and instructors, and start your lesson on time. If you arrive late you will miss part of your lesson. The is no refund for missed or canceled lessons.

To Check-in, enter the beach at the Riverside Blvd boardwalk entrance and check in for your lesson at the Skudin Surf tents on the beach. You will need to purchase a beach pass for beach access, beach passes are $15 cash and are sold daily at the blue ticket booths from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. Use the link to purchase a beach pass

We will contact you via email and/or text (if opted in for text notifications) ONLY if we have to cancel lessons due to unsafe conditions in the ocean or heavy thunderstorms and tropical storm conditions. You can also check for alerts through our social media or website.
