[/imageframe][fusion_text]Skudin Surf brings the sport of surfing to people of all ages and abilities in a fun, positive and safe environment. The company offers a range of private instruction, group lessons, camps, stand up paddle, corporate events, and birthday parties for adults and children in the seaside town of Long Beach, New York and Rockaway Beach 67th Street. The previous five summers were a demonstrable success thousands of surfers traveled to us from the tri-state area to participate.
The Skudin family has been teaching surfing for over 30 years. Parents Dave and Beth Skudin surfed together as children in the 60’s with Beth’s dad Dick Bolton. They continued beth’s fathers tradition and shared their love of the sport with their four boys. The family comes from a heritage of lifeguards, swimmers and surfing champions. Dave and Beth raised their children in some of the most famous surf spots in the country, and have lived in Hawaii, the Outer Banks of North Carolina and Long Beach, New York.
Today, two of the Skudin sons – Cliff and Will – continue their families’ tradition of teaching others the joy of surfing. Read about the Skudins in this article from The Herald.

Cliff is co-founder and president of Skudin Surf Inc., as well as a nationally-ranked lifeguard and experienced water man Cliff is a certified New York State Teacher and holds a Masters degree in Physical Education.
Cliff was Nominated in the 2012 Billibong XXL monster paddle awards a 2012 and 2013 Big Wave World Tour Nelscott reef Oregon invitee, has surfed the biggest and heaviest surf spots on the planet such as Mavericks, Waimea Bay, Outer Reefs Hawaii, Nelscott Reef, Todos Santos, Puerto Escondido, and Central California, and East Coast Hurricane Chasing and pioneered big wave surf spots on the east coast with his brother Will.
Cliff has a passion with working with students with disabilities and his a Co-Founder of Surf For All (non-profit organization www.surfforall.org) which helps individuals with special needs learn how to surf.[/fusion_text]

[fusion_text]Woody, the youngest child in the family, joins the Skudin clan of instructors every summer. Like his brothers and parents, Woody took up surfing as a child, and is now considered a seasoned veteran. Woody is now attending VMI (Virgina Military Institute). Recently voted in as the Vice President of his Class. He is now in his sophmore year and is a true leader among his peers.[/fusion_text]

She has been a certified Personal Trainer for 14 years. Beth has coached Competitive Swimming, Springboard Diving, and Synchronized Swimming. She is currently certified in CPR, WSI, First Aid and Chaplain Assistant First Responder. Beth surfs, swims and stretches year round and has done so since the days of her youth. She has even competed in surfing/ocean life guarding and swimming competitions. Beth has enjoyed island living and has instructed in Hawaii, Long Beach/Lido Beach and Hatteras Island, North Carolina.[/fusion_text]

Adam (director of Nickerson Beach Surf and Skate School ) grew up in the surfing community of the northern beaches of Sydney which was the perfect start to a life influenced and driven by surfing. At five years of age he had his first board and after years competing in his local board-riding club he was selected to represent his high school for surfing, competing against the best junior surfers in Australia and then onto the junior pro tour.
Adam is a global world traveler and has experience surfing Indonesia, Europe, United Kingdom, Africa, Central America, Cuba, USA, South America and New Zealand. During his extensive travels Adam discovered a new passion in passing on his experience and knowledge of surfing to others interested in learning how to surf or wanting to improve their surfing performance. This lead to him opening a surf camp in Costa Rica which he has ran for 3 years.
With over 30 years of surfing and skateboarding experience Adam has honed his skills in becoming a highly qualified surf coach, completing his Level 1 and Level 2 surf coaching accreditation in Australia. He most recently was employed by Surfing Australia at their High Performance Centre on the Gold Coast where he worked with pro junior surfers preparing them for the Professional Tour using cutting edge coaching techniques with video analysis.
Whether you are a pro surfer or a complete novice Adam will work with you through the fundamentals and correct techniques of surfing for you to become the best surfer you can be.[/fusion_text]
